January 8, 2016 - New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians Receives Provisional ACCME Accreditation as a New Provider of Continuing Medical Education
The New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians (NJAFP), the largest primary care medical specialty society in the state, has recently received its provisional accreditation as a provider of continuing medical education by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). ACCME accreditation means that the NJAFP can now certify educational activities for category 1 credit of the American Medical Association’s Physician’s Recognition Award (“AMA/PRA”). The AMA/PRA is utilized by state licensing boards and boards of medical specialties to re-license physicians and re-certify them in their areas of specialty.

December 15, 2015 - New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians Selected to Provide Practice Transformation Services in Delaware
The New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians (NJAFP), the largest primary care medical specialty society in the state, was recently awarded a role as vendor for the Practice Transformation Services Project offered by the Delaware Center for Health Innovation (DCHI) as part of the Delaware State Innovation Model (SIM) grant. DCHI's main goals for this Project comprise better health, improved healthcare quality and patient experience, lower healthcare costs for all of Delaware's residents, and improved provider experience.

December 1, 2015 - New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians Expands Quality Improvement Services with New Personnel Appointments
The New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians (NJAFP), the largest primary care medical specialty society in the state, has announced the appointment of three new employees to enhance its existing healthcare transformation and quality improvement (QI) services. Angie Halaja-Henriques, Suzanne Hockenberry and Kris Samara will support NJAFP in the organization’s expansion to a regional healthcare transformation organization, working to improve healthcare quality and patient care while reducing costs.

The New Jersey Academy of Family Physicians (NJAFP), the largest primary care medical specialty society in the state, has announced that Sandra Selzer will serve as vice president of healthcare transformation and quality improvement. In this role, Selzer will lead strategic and tactical elements of the NJAFP’s healthcare transformation and quality improvement service offerings, guide strategic planning for the division, and work to ensure that opportunities to advance family medicine and the NJAFP are explored throughout the existing professional development services and advocacy efforts.
