New Jersey Statewide Symposium Tourette Syndrome 11th Annual Neuroscience Conference Series

Patients with Tourette Syndrome (TS), a chronic tic disorder, often present with a complex neuropsychiatric syndrome that can include obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and other behavioral problems. This presents diagnostic and treatment challenges for physicians and others who deal with these patients, such as behavioral health professionals and school personnel. This half-day program will be led by internationally-recognized expert speakers and will help clarify some of the complexity around TS by providing the latest and most complete information available.   
 

Program Objectives

  • Update participant knowledge about Tourette Syndrome
  • Improve participant ability to properly diagnose tic disorders and associated behavioral problems
  • Update participant knowledge of therapeutic options available for tic disorders and associated behavioral problems
  • Learn ways to improve quality of care for this patient population

This Live activity, New Jersey Statewide Symposium on Tourette Syndrome, has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 4.25 Prescribed credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

CORE CONTENT REVIEW OF FAMILY MEDICINE

The Core Content Review of Family Medicine is available through the Connecticut/Ohio Academies of Family Physicians. It is a comprehensive, practical and effective self-testing, home study postgraduate education program. It examines all aspects of family medicine and is intended to help you help yourself maximize your medical knowledge and skill which you employ top serve the needs of your patients. The program is approved for 48 hours of prescribed credit by the AAFP.
